Our Mission

Lipson Pain Institute utilizes education, individual treatment plans, and motivation to manage the symptoms of acute and chronic pain in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.

Meet The Providers

Ana Lipson, MD

Physician

Dr. Ana Lipson received her medical doctorate from Universidad Central del Este. She completed residencies in internal medicine, at the University of Connecticut, and anesthesiology, at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She completed her fellowship in pain management, at the University of South Florida.

The Lipson Pain Institute, originally Central Florida Pain Management, was founded in 1999, as Winter Haven’s first independent comprehensive pain management practice. Dr. Lipson provides a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management, by treating every patient according to their own personal needs.

Dr. Lipson resides in greater Lakeland, with her family, where she has volunteered for many community organizations, including Strings in Need, All Saints’ Academy and Talbot House.

Anissa Hohnstreiter, BSN, MSN, ARNP-C

Nurse Practitioner 

Anissa Hohnstreiter received her masters degree in nursing from Florida Southern College. She has worked at Tampa General Hospital, Florida Neurovascular Institute and Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center.

She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International honor society for nursing, and was a recipient of the Polk County Advanced Practice Nurses Association Graduate Scholarship.

Mrs. Hohnstreiter resides in Polk County, with her husband and two daughters. She volunteers for the Polk County Advanced Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and other organizations.
